Develop and support the implementation of cost reductions focused on process improvement, scrap reduction, or material usage reduction.Ĥ. Analyze plant operations using engineering principles and techniques and make recommendations to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.ģ. Research and develop new manufacturing technologies and processes to support current and future corporate-wide strategic manufacturing capability objectives.Ģ. In addition, the incumbent coordinates communications and cooperation across shifts, helps to define and support the plant's labor strategy, ensures the timely and appropriate administration of the collective bargaining agreement, and assures that other HR and Environmental, Safety and Health practices, policies and procedures are in place and effectively administered within the production groups.ġ.
This position translates the plant operational plan into a strategy that supports new product development, product technologies, and yield improvement. Ensure that the corporation maintains technological leadership in manufacturing capabilities and quality systems. Coordinate the technical and quality activities of the plant locations to assure that the best practices and solutions are utilized in a consistent manner across the corporation. This position has the following responsibilities: Provide comprehensive forward process engineering and quality system direction and support to manufacturing operations.
